Winter Essentials

As much as it has dragged it's feet this year, and we have all tried to be in denial that cold weather is on it's way after our mega long summer, I am actually really looking forward to these colder months. As awful as this year has been for so many people, I feel like the stressful part of winter is on hold - less commuting in the pouring rain, skidding over in the car park and wearing the right amount of layers so you don't sweat your t*ts off in the office but freeze to death in the car...silver linings hey?

I couldn't resist doing a little winter essential edit after the bits that I have been seeing lately. Hope you enjoy and let me know what else you find.

The White Company Henley Pyjama Top

I have bought these for years and they never fail to impress me. The fabric is ribbed and is so soft and a lovely thickness for winter, which you can match with either shorts or trouser bottoms depending on the season and the style you like. I have them in white, grey and navy! The White Company are a more expensive option for nightwear and loungewear but I find the quality lasts year after year, and they have some great sales all year round, so if you're organised in time for winter you can grab a bargain!

£35

H&M Pyjamas

H&M have featured so much on my style edits in recent weeks. It's not through my laziness of only looking at their stuff, but because they are absolutely smashing it across all categories this year. From the usual coats, shackets, dresses and even boots, their nightwear and loungewear is awesome this winter. I am a huge pyjama fan and have never bought from H&M before, but I am so impressed with these - they honestly look and feel like they could be high end and the subtle stripe is just up my street. I predict they won't be around long enough to get to the end of even this week so grab them while you can!

The White Company Velvet Bow Slippers

I could have dedicated a whole blog post to slippers as there are so many gorgeous options out there this year! My first favourites are these beautiful velvet bow slippers... they are just so sweet and old school!

£39

Sheepers Elsa Slippers

Made from sheepskin these bad boys are the softest, squishiest slippers, trust me! I love the harder soles on these which make them super comfy. Available direct or through Joules, there are so many colour options I guarantee you won't be able to choose!

£35

The White Company Dressing Gown

I have always bought my dressing gowns from The White Company, and this year's release looks so scrumptious I have serious envy. They sell a selection of different fabrics as well as lengths, personally I prefer a towelling robe to a waffle type as they are warmer and softer and good for when wet too! This hydrocotton robe is pure luxury, and would make the best Christmas present.

£80

H&M Velour Dressing Gown

For a more affordable winter warmer, or Christmas gift, I really love the colour of this H&M dressing gown. Again as I said earlier, I've not bought nightwear from H&M before, and this is a velour material rather than towelling, but is definitely a lovely affordable, feminine throw on.

£19.99

John Lewis Faux Fur Blanket

Finally, winter wouldn't be winter without the biggest, softest blanket around! I absolutely love this blanket, we have had ours for a few years and it is still the snuggliest thing in our living room, we all fight over it daily! I totally recommend it, the quality is fabulous and the colour choice is too good - I have the fawn colour. If the one you like is out of stock, sign up for a notification for when it comes back in, they're not going anywhere. Worth the money, this is a blanket that will be with my family for a long time to come.
